TRANSBAY BLOCK 2
SENIOR AND FAMILY HOUSING

OVERVIEW

ABOUT

The vision for Transbay Block 2 East and West, located at the heart of San Francisco’s Transbay District, is to activate key public spaces through programming, urban design, and architectural potential, with a vibrant mix of ground floor uses and a multi-generational community of families and seniors. Bounded by Main, Folsom, Beale, and the new extension of Clementina Alley, Block 2 will feature two 100% affordable buildings for seniors and families, with 20% of the units available for those who have experienced homelessness.

Resident amenities include onsite community gathering spaces, outdoor roof decks overlooking the new park, and events, programming, and social service connections provided by a resident services team. Community amenities for the greater Transbay neighborhood include an affordable childcare center, neighborhood-serving retail along Folsom Street and fronting the new park at Block 3, and a pedestrian mews between the two buildings that will be open to the public, connecting Folsom to the new park.
